|     Danial Norjidi    | GREEN Brunei is focussed on promoting environmental sustainability through youth-led initiatives in the fields of education, conservation and advocacy, said a member of the Legislative Council and Co-founder and Community Engagement Director of the eco-conservation group Yang Berhormat Khairunnisa binti Haji Ash’ari. For the rest of the year, the organisation is looking at strengthening its activities relating to cleanliness, including getting involved with the ‘No Plastic Bag Weekend’ campaign, reducing the use of single-use plastics and promoting community-based recycling, she shared in a recent interview with the Sunday Bulletin. The group was made up of members of the organising committee for the New Resolutions Fest (NRF), activity partners, representatives of non-government organisations as well as volunteers who signed up online. Call to register for 6th Green Leaders Camp

GREEN Brunei called for youths aged 16 – 25 to register for the 6th Green Leaders Camp to be held from March 26 – 29 at the Sungai Kebun Sports Complex. This camp is limited to 40 participants. Selection will be based on their experience or passion towards environmental conservation and having demonstrated strong leadership skills. The deadline for registration is March 18. The camp aims to train youth leaders and youth mobilisation, through the exposure of issues and environmental initiatives led by non-government organisations in the country.
