VAM (R) BRN River Clean Up

In conjunction with Earth Day, Green Brunei collaborated with EARTHDAY.ORG’s Youth Ambassador and VAM(R)BRN Sdn Bhd to organise a river cleanup at Kampong Ayer, Bandar Seri Begawan on 20th April 2026 as part of the global Great Global Cleanup campaign. A total of 67 participants came together across Kg Setia B, Kg Sungai Kebun, and Kg Bakut, collecting 32 bags of waste weighing 188.8kg from the river and surrounding waterways. This initiative supports Brunei Darussalam National Climate Change Policy(BNCCP) and Wawasan Brunei 2035 by promoting environmental awareness and collective climate action. The session focused on building students’ awareness of the environment, introducing the basics of recycling and encouraging them to reflect on their role and responsibility in protecting the world around them. GG Beraksi Beach Cleanup

As a way to kick off the new year, Green Brunei collaborated with International Green Generation to expand the "Ber-Aksi" (GG Beraksi) 2026 Programme to Brunei on Sunday, 11th January 2026. The beach cleanup was hosted in conjunction with Day of Action, supported by Gleneagles JPMC, Ministry of Health under the HEAL Programme and JASTRe. A total of 36 volunteers collected a staggering 245.5kg of waste, making a difference in protecting our shores and public spaces for citizens to enjoy. . Together, we explored Brunei’s green industry through a dynamic scarce resource game, where students acted as village leaders tackling unique environmental challenges. Talk on Waste Management

On November 12, Green Brunei and Jabatan Bandaran Belait joined forces for a fun and educational school talk on waste management! 🌍♻️It was inspiring to watch the students break out of their shells toward the end, ready to challenge themselves with a miniature beach cleanup activity, where they dug up trash from the sand and sorted it into recyclable, non-recyclable, and compostable piles.
