Green Brunei and Majlis Perundingan Mukim Berakas ‘B’ Successfully Organise Six-Day Donation Drive Campaign
Green Brunei, in collaboration with Majlis Perundingan Mukim Berakas ‘B’, successfully organised a six-day Donation Drive Campaign at Dewan Kemasyarakatan 1, Lambak Kanan, Jalan 1, from 2 June to 7 June 2026. The initiative brought together volunteers and members of the local community to support families in need while promoting the values of compassion, sustainability, and community engagement.
The campaign aimed to encourage greater youth participation in volunteer activities by providing meaningful opportunities to contribute to the community. Throughout the six-day event, volunteers assisted in receiving, sorting, and organising donated items, fostering teamwork, responsibility, and a shared commitment to giving back to society.
In addition to promoting volunteerism, the campaign sought to strengthen relationships within the local community by creating a platform where residents could contribute items they no longer needed but were still in good condition. By encouraging the reuse of these items, the initiative also supported environmental sustainability through waste reduction and responsible consumption.
Members of the public generously donated a wide range of essential items, including clothing, children’s toys, and kitchenware. These contributions will benefit individuals and families in need, ensuring that usable items find new homes instead of going to waste.
