JERUDONG FOOD COURT
This is Brunei Darussalam’s largest food court and a perfect place to fill up after a long day at Jerudong Park Playground, it’s just a short walk away! Nasi katok is by far the cheapest local food you’ll ever find. Nasi Katok contains white rice combined with a condiment of local blended chillies known as sambal with a piece of fried chicken. There are varieties of Nasi Katok being sold by local Bruneian and you can discover some of the local’s favourites.
Brunei’s best Nasi Katok Award in 2020 goes to Nasi Katok Mabohai which is the first Nasi Katok since the 1980s. Moreover, if you like the classic style, you can get yourself nasi katok from Kaka Restaurant or Nasi Katok Lily. But, if you dare to be different, you can go and buy nasi katok sambal tomyam from a Thai-owned tuckshop called Cha-Roen-Sap Sdn.
