The Gurkha Palace serves healthy and authentic Nepalese cuisine. The restaurant will be pleased to introduce their customer to a new taste of a unique Nepalese cuisine for the first time in Brunei. Born in the mountains of the Himalayas, Nepalese cuisine has become a favorite style of food throughout the world as it uses the finest vegetables, meats and seafood, full flavored fancy spices and modest herbs combined to provide a culinary experience. They also provide Catering, Home delivery and Takeaway service. We recommend people to try the Spicy Nepalese-Style Chicken Wing that has been well marinated and cooked perfectly or the Masu Ko Bhutuwa which is a meat that has been marinated with Nepalese style herbs, spices and fried for hours.

Both longhouses in Labi can offer visitors their tradisional Iban dish where we recommend trying the Ayam Pansuh or the Sarang Semut.
The Ayam Pansuh (Bamboo Chicken) is a staple traditional dish in labi that Teraja longhouse would often offer to cook. It is unique to the culinary arts of Borneo, this rich and aromatic dish has long been a secret recipe to the Iban longhouse communities. Now that it’s out in the open, everyone gets to sample a taste of its succulent flavour. Prepared by stuffing marinated chicken into bamboo poles, onions and other spices are stuffed along with it and wedged shut with bamboo leaves. Next, it’s nestled atop an open fire, and this is where the aroma begins to fill the air as the chicken is slowly cooked to perfection. Pair it with a platter of rice, and you’ve got a signature dish that will forever be a favorite here in Brunei.
Sarang Semut or more popularly known as Kueh Jala/Kuih Jala, is a crispy delicacy that almost melts in your mouth at the first bite. Made from sugar, rice flour and water, it is then poured through a mold traditionally made out of a coconut shell, and into a work of hot oil that results in a sweet crispy snack.
