Green Depot’s Recycling Drive at Silver Jubilee Park saw 123.14 kilogrammes (kg) of recyclables collected.
Items that were received comprised of cardboard, used paper, and e-waste such as TVs, monitors and ovens.
The Recycling Drive aims to educate the public of proper waste management while also supporting the Brunei National Climate Change Secretariat’s (BCCS) efforts in reducing municipal waste by 1kg per person in a day by 2035.
The goal of this event is to encourage people to recycle and reduce the volume of solid waste in landfills.
Green Depot, a project under Green Brunei, aims to contribute to the vision and objective of the nation to transition towards a zero waste lifestyle.
