Green Depot, with support from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP), collected some 193.4 kilogrammes of recyclable materials during a drive at STKRJ Lorong Tiga Selatan Seria Mosque last Sunday to raise awareness of waste pollution in the country.
It was the fifth recycling drive by the recycling centre since its inception in December 2018.
So far, Green Depot has collected over 36,000 kilogrammes of recyclables, ranging from paper to metal to aluminium to e-waste.
These recycling drives serve as an opportunity for members of Green Depot to educate the public on how to differentiate between recyclable and non-recyclable materials.
According to Green Depot, a donation drive will be held next month to collect unwanted items that are still in working conditions to counter the current throw-away society.
