Recycling drive to reduce waste

Green Depot will conduct its seventh recycling drive at the Kuala Belait (KB) Sentral Shopping Centre on February 14 from 1pm to 4pm.

The event is aimed to encouraging the public to practice recycling.

Green Depot encourages the public to drop by with recyclable items – paper, cardboard, metal, aluminium, plastic and electronic waste (computer waste) – to reduce waste generated and disposed into landfills.

Users can also register an account at Register (green-brunei.com) and track their recycling records, which has the added benefits of generating monetary rewards for their recycling efforts.

Green Depot is a project initiated in December 2018 under Green Brunei ad supported by Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) to contribute to the nation’s goal of moving towards zero waste.

Since its establishment, it has collected over 51,000 kilograms of recyclable items from over 950 users.
