TUTONG, 16 August – A beach cleaning campaign event was organized this morning along Seri Kenangan Beach and Jalan Pengasing in Tutong District, in support of Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd’s ongoing commitment to actively supporting community initiatives for a sustainable future.
The purpose of the event, which was organized in cooperation with Green Brunei, was to give the leadership team and Brunei LNG employees—including those employed by the BLNG Golden Hearts and BLNG Eco Eagles groups—a good chance to spend their free time engaging in campaign activities with the Tutong District’s residents.
The Tutong District and City Departments are among those contributing to the campaign’s success; the student group is made up of members of Hashim Tutong Young High School’s Sustainability Entrepreneurship Program (SMMHT) and Sufri Bolkiah High School (SMSB).
As a result, Awang Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, the acting district officer of Tutong, is both present as a guest of honor and taking part in the campaign.
A total of 466.07 kg of rubbish, including plastic bags, food waste, empty bottles, and other items, were successfully collected during the campaign.
Brunei LNG is committed to fostering long-term environmental care in the community in order to create a cleaner and more sustainable Brunei Darussalam. To this end, the organization promotes sustainable practices and raises awareness among locals about the impact of waste.
