The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) and Green Brunei hosted the “Komuniti Industries Kewangan: H20 HEROES” river clean-up effort, in which Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) took part. The event was held on the Brunei River, Kampong Ayer. The campaign aimed to engage industry leaders in direct environmental action, focusing on the challenges and preservation of Kampong Ayer’s natural beauty. It was timed to coincide with World Environment Day and underscore the financial sector’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
By taking part, BIBD shows that it’s committed to upholding the BIBD Sustainability Framework and is actively involved in community and environmental conservation projects. Many BIBD staff members participated in the campaign, highlighting BIBD’s commitment to maintaining the Maqasid Syariah and being “Bruneian at Heart.”
The involvement reflects the bank’s commitment to sustainability as well as BIBD’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community involvement.
