Environmental Education Tour Virtual Workshop

The Environmental Education Tour (EET) Project is organised in collaboration with Mitsubishi Corporation. It is supported by the Ministry of Development, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport and Info-communications and the Brunei Shell Petroleum Co Sdn Bhd.

The project was virtually launched on 4 October 2021 and its activities include virtual workshops with secondary and high institutions. It was initially proposed as physical tours by visiting Seria Energy Lab and Tenaga Suria Brunei, however, changed to virtual workshop sessions due to the pandemic.

The objective of this virtual workshop is to raise awareness on renewable energy, climate change, and Brunei’s related policies through environmental education. It also aims to instil the interest amongst the youth to venture into the renewable energy industry and research on climate change.

The virtual workshop was carried out virtually from 11 January 2022 until 26 February 2022 with a total of 795 students as participants from 28 schools nationwide.
