Kickstarting our 8 weeks 8 beach clean up movement #PantaiKuBersih yesterday. The beach cleanup movement is organised by Green Brunei interns. It is also supported by Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe), Ministry of Development. Nearly 50 volunteers from University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) lend their hands to clean up the first beach, Serasa Beach.

A total of 316 kilograms of trash were collected within an hour of cleanup. The trash collected comprised of 70 kilograms of plastic bottles, 128 kilograms of general plastic (cutleries, detergent bottles, candy wrappers, etc.) and 118 kilograms of other waste such as soda-cans, glass, paper food packaging, and many others.
