Green Brunei is starting the year 2023 with inviting the public to participate in their sustainability efforts by bringing recyclable household items to their Recycling Drive on 5th February, Sunday at the Ground Level of Kontena Park Parking Lot from 9:00AM to 1:00PM.
Items that are accepted in the recycling drive are paper, newspaper, cardboard, metal (rinsed out and emptied) and electronic waste (computer waste). The recycling drive does not accept plastic, glass, styrofoam or glossy paper.
The Recycling Drive aims to educate the public of proper waste management while also supporting the Brunei National Climate Change Secretariat’s (BCCS) efforts in reducing municipal waste by 1kg per person in a day by 2035.
To date, Green Brunei has managed to collect over 152,100 kg of recyclables since 2014.
