GB Eco Race: Raising environmental awareness

Lee Huan Ni and Lee Huan Ching of Team Gaia won first place at the Green Brunei Eco Race on 7th April 2019. They earned a cash prize of BND250, two BND20 I-Lotus Restaurant meal vouchers and two BND10 Caffè Bene cash vouchers.

The race, with the start and finish line at Taman Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, was held in Bandarku Ceria. Involving 44 participants aged 15 years old and above, it aimed to promote environmental awareness through a series of challenging eco-themed obstacles about sustainability, biodiversity loss, climate change and more.

Team Wek (Zaahidah Iskandar and Affan Zain) bagged the second place with a cash prize of BND200, two BND20 I-Lotus Restaurant meal vouchers and two BND10 Caffè Bene cash vouchers. Meanwhile, Team J Cole  (Norshahirah binti Mohammad Sahren and Muhd Hamizan bin Mohd Nor Iman) won third place and walked away with BND150 and two BND10 Caffè Bene cash vouchers.

The prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash’ari, a member of the Legislative Council and Co-founder and Community Engagement Director of Green Brunei.
