Fitness Zone to partner with Green Brunei in RGR

GREEN Brunei will be organising its first-ever ‘Remarkable Green Race’ (RGR), an environmentally-themed race which will be held on December 13 at the BioInnovation Corridor in Tungku.

In collaboration with Fitness Zone as the official health partner for the event, a three-day pass to the health club will be given to all participants of the event. In addition, a two-week membership pass will be given to the first place winner. On the day of the event, trainers from Fitness Zone will also be conducting the warm-up sessions for the participants before the start of the race.

The Remarkable Green Race is a competition with multiple obstacles, created to challenge and encourage participants to think ‘outside the box’ to solve various ‘green-based’ problems.

With the theme ‘Think Green. Go Green. Be Green’, the race encourages youth to overcome obstacles with what is available around them.

Youth will participate in exciting activities and learn to be more environmentally-conscious.

Each team consists of four members, who will have to complete a certain number of pit stops within a limited time in order to win. Throughout the race, participants will be challenged with environmentally-themed obstacles, which are designed to increase their knowledge about the environment while at the same time having fun.

The race is open to those aged between 16 and 30 years old. The registration fee is $20 per person and the deadline for registration is November 14, 2014.

There are a limited number of team slots available and the public is encouraged to register early as it will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

Remarkable Green Race is also supported by Telekom Brunei Berhad, BorneoGuide, The Body Shop, Armtrix Enterprise and Rentokil Initial Brunei.

Green Brunei was established in 2012 and it is a non-profit environmental organisation that focuses on environmental education and conservation programmes. Green Brunei has been actively conducting camps, talks, tree planting and recycling programmes.
