SCB, Green Brunei hold tree-planting campaign at Berakas Forest Reserve

MORE than 20 staff members of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) collaborated with Green Brunei to plant 100 trees and conduct a clean-up of the Berakas Forest Reserve yesterday, as part of their efforts in raising awareness on environmental conservation. Present at the event were YB Khairunnisa binti Haji Ash’ari, a member of the Legislative Council, who is also a Co-Founder and a Community Engagement Director of Green Brunei; and Noralinda binti Haji Ibrahim, the Acting Director of the Forestry Department. Prior to the tree-planting activity, a welcoming speech together with a briefing was delivered by YB Khairunissa. BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 14 Feb – Dalam usaha untuk meningkatkan kesedaran mengenai pemuliharaan alam sekitar dalam kalangan masyarakat, Bank Standard Chartered (SCB) dengan kerjasama Green Brunei telah mengadakan aktiviti menanam sebanyak 100 anak pokok di Taman Rekreasi Hutan Simpanan Berakas, pagi tadi. THE fourth Green Leaders Camp (GLC4) concluded yesterday with a closing ceremony at the Youth Centre and a presentation of certificates to the participants by Haji Mohammad Zamree bin Haji Zunaidi, the Director of the Tourism Development Department at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
