Our efforts and initiatives in Brunei are aimed at promoting environmental conservation and sustainability. Like many other countries, Brunei faces environmental challenges such as deforestation, loss of biodiversity, and the impacts of climate change.
1. Beach Cleanup.
[06 Oct 2022, Serasa Beach] CEO of NiAT Lim Ming Soon led around 30 NiAT employees and Green Brunei volunteers in the cleaning activity.
2. Tree Planting.
[2021-2022] Tree Distribution & Planting Event aims to promote awareness of climate change and provide youth with the opportunity to be directly involved in efforts toward achieving a low-carbon and resilient climate future. Along with supporting 4 of the strategies under the Brunei Darussalam National Climate Change Policy.
3. River Cleanup.
[15 Oct 2022, Kampong Sungai Siamas] Green Brunei in collaboration with Mitsubishi Corporation (Brunei Liaison Office) collected over 443 kilogrammes of trash.
4. Recycling Drive.
[09 Apr 2019, National Stadium Brunei] Two members of the public who participated in Green Brunei’s recycling drive in conjunction with Global Recycling Day (18th March).
