Fitness Zone to partner with Green Brunei in RGR

GREEN Brunei will be organising its first-ever ‘Remarkable Green Race’ (RGR), an environmentally-themed race which will be held on December 13 at the BioInnovation Corridor in Tungku. In collaboration with Fitness Zone as the official health partner for the event, a three-day pass to the health club will be given to all participants of the event. In addition, a two-week membership pass will be given to the first place winner. On the day of the event, trainers from Fitness Zone will also be conducting the warm-up sessions for the participants before the start of the race. ONE Bruneian youth will attend the United Nations-backed Global Forum on Youth Policies in Azerbaijan’s capital of Baku to discuss ways of implementing national policies that are tailored to the current generation’s needs. Khairunnisa Ash’ari of Green Brunei will join governments and parliaments, youth networks and movements, research and development communities to examine how youth policy can be implemented in war zones, post-conflict settings, and tackle youth unemployment. Khairunnisa, who is involved with Brunei Youth Council and other NGOs such as the ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme, was the recipient of Youth Service Award last year and the ASEAN Youth Award recipient this year. IN CONJUNCTION with the 20th Asean Youth Day Meeting (AYDM) and 9th Ten Accomplished Youth Organisations (TAYO) Asean Award, youth and youth groups from nine Asean countries yesterday took part in a sharing session held at the Silaturrahim Hall at the Youth Centre in the capital. Among the Asean youth who took part to deliver their presentation were from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
