Nature's Avenger Project is a programme for youth run by youth, where participants engage in games and fun activities to spread awareness on the importance of being environmental- friendly and to improve their attitude towards helping the environment. YOUTH who feel disconnected from the environment from the lack of involvement with nature may get involved with Green Brunei's Youth Environmental Leadership Programme. For interested 13-to-25-year-old environmentally conscious youths, they are promised with knowledge of the "green ways" including the practice of composting and learning the richness of the region's biodiversity. 50 students attend eco-social seminar

FIFTY students from various learning institutions took part in a pilot workshop jointly conducted by a local eco-awareness non-governmental organisation and a Singaporean-based youth development organisation. Green Brunei an organisation that promotes environmental education and awareness, and Envisage Education Pte Ltd (Envisage) conducted the workshop aimed at creating awareness about the complex link between the economy, the environment and societal needs with a focus on sustainability. "NATURE'S Avengers initiative is a project for youths, by youths," said Hanna Hassanal, 18, a Green Brunei Student Ambassador and Project Coordinator of the Nature's Avengers project. The project is one of the many exemplary youth-initiated projects in Brunei. While Green Brunei is a non-government organisation (NGO) that focuses on environmental awareness, it has become a platform for charismatic youth leaders to take charge of leading projects that that focus on environmental awareness, preservation and conservation such as the mangrove planting project.
